Episode Summaries

Having lost to Maomao, Lakan is now obligated to buy out a courtesan from the Verdigris House. Amidst the line of glamorous women, just as Lakan reaches out to take Meimei's hand, a singing voice is heard from behind a door she opens... Meanwhile, Jinshi, who brought Maomao to his residence, learns about Lakan's troubles, his reasons for being obsessed with Maomao, and her complex feelings towards her father. A few nights later, Maomao is seen dancing beautifully atop the rear palace walls.
