With Consort Gyokuyou's pregnancy confirmed, Maomao spends peaceful days in the Jade Pavilion. One day, Jinshi consults her about needing blue roses for the next garden party. Maomao realizes that Lakan orchestrated this difficult request. Determined not to be defeated, she takes on the challenge of growing blue roses. As the garden party approaches, Maomao struggles, as it is out of season, and the roses won't even produce buds.
