Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden Sets October 6 Premiere With Its First Trailer and Key Visual
The KONAMI animation series locked in its broadcast date and stations, added three cast members, and set an advance screening for September 22.
What was announced
The official website for Nia Liston: The Merciless Maiden published the series' first key visual and first promotional video on July 28, along with a confirmed broadcast date and station lineup. The television anime starts on Tuesday, October 6, 2026 on Tokyo MX at 21:25 JST, with BS NTV following at 24:30 and MBS at 27:30 the same night.
That pins down a window the production had previously kept broad. When the adaptation was first revealed, the site and press coverage placed it only in October 2026, so the October 6 date and the three-station lineup are the concrete details fans had been waiting on.
The cast
Honoka Inoue stars as Nia Liston, the sickly noble daughter whose body becomes the vessel for a god-slaying warrior's soul. The site announced three cast additions alongside the visual: Fuka Izumi as Rinokis Funk, Rina Honnizumi as Hildetora Altoir, and Rina Hidaka as Reliared Silver.
Who is making it
Motoki Nakanishi is directing at KONAMI animation, with Haruta Segi as assistant director. Gigaemon Ichikawa is handling series composition, and Yuki Ito and Kana Tosaoka are adapting the character designs. Naoki Endo is composing the music, with Hiromi Kikuta as sound director. Per Anime News Network's report on the announcement, the crew also includes color designers Ryota Katsuta and Maki Yamamoto, art director Hiroshi Goroku, compositing director of photography Takashi Ode, and editor Masayuki Kurosawa.
An advance screening in September
Before the broadcast premiere, the production is holding an advance screening of the first three episodes on September 22 at the esports TOKYO BAY studio, paired with a special event. Ticket information went live on the official site the same day as the trailer.
