Rilakkuma Season 2, A Stroll Around the World, Begins Streaming on Crunchyroll

The second season of the Rilakkuma TV anime is now streaming internationally. In posts published on June 27, Aniplex of America said fans can "watch Season 2 of Rilakkuma on YouTube and Crunchyroll starting today," and shared a new key visual that gives the season its English subtitle, "A Stroll Around the World." The season had been revealed earlier in June, when the production team unveiled a new promo and visual under the Japanese title "Tekuteku Sekai Ryoko."

According to that official key visual, the season is animated by Production I.G, with Yoshimi Itazu and Yumi Kamakura directing and Chie Morita handling character designs. The same visual credits Lilas Ikuta with both the narration and the theme song, "stay with me."

A more adventurous direction

Rilakkuma is a slice of life series built around a famously relaxed brown bear and his small circle of animal friends. Our catalog lists the anime as a slice of life title that began airing on April 4, 2026, and describes it as stepping "out of the everyday and into a laid-back, expansive world of animation," promising that "an exciting new story is about to unfold." The first season leaned into that quiet, comforting mood under the subtitle "Leisure Trip of Dreams."

Season 2 widens the frame. The official key visual sends the characters across mountains, deserts, pyramids and tropical coastlines, beneath a tagline that reads, "Here, there, everywhere. It is a fitting interpretation of the Japanese subtitle, roughly steadily traveling the world, and signals a more adventurous direction for a franchise best known for staying home and unwinding.

The anime is also a short-form production, a bite-sized weekly format that suits the bear's low-key charm. Both Crunchyroll and Anime News Network have described it as a short anime since its April debut, which makes the leap into a globe-trotting second season a natural way to keep the premise fresh without overextending each episode.

The anime continues to air in Japan on TBS on Saturday mornings, and Aniplex confirms the new season is streaming for international audiences on Crunchyroll and YouTube, with additional availability on services such as Animation Digital Network and Muse Asia. Crunchyroll lists the series on its streaming schedule, so subtitled episodes are rolling out alongside the Japanese broadcast, and the season opens with Lilas Ikuta's theme song, "stay with me."
