Ranma ½ Season 3 Sets October 3 Premiere With a New Key Visual and Five Cast Additions

What was announced

The third season of Ranma ½ premieres on October 3. The official Ranma ½ anime account confirmed the date on July 25, alongside a new key visual, and specified that the season airs on Nippon TV every Saturday at 24:55 (12:55 a.m. Sunday) before rolling out across NTV affiliates nationwide. Netflix will stream it exclusively immediately after each Japanese broadcast, a point Netflix Anime echoed the same day with its own October 3 post.

That fills in a window that had been open since March, when Anime News Network reported the official site placing the season in October on NTV with Netflix carrying it. The specific day, the weekly slot, and the new visual are what changed.

A very crowded key visual

The new key visual is an ensemble piece rather than a character portrait. Both forms of Ranma Saotome leap forward at the center in the familiar red and yellow Chinese jackets, ringed by the wider Nerima cast against a red starburst. The official account noted that characters debuting in the third season are worked into the crowd, though it did not identify which ones.

Five names added to the cast

The production also announced five cast additions, three of them attached to named characters and two still withheld:

Masako Nozawa voices Iemoto. Per the official character page, she heads the Daimonji school of martial arts tea ceremony and is Sentaro's grandmother. Jun Fukuyama voices Sentaro Daimonji, the school's successor, who is looking for a woman strong enough to help him break off an arranged marriage. Minami Tanaka voices Tsubasa Kurenai, a disguise-loving former classmate carrying unrequited feelings for Ukyo Kuonji.

Mayumi Tanaka and Saori Hayami are both credited to roles the production is still keeping unnamed. No further detail on either part has been announced.
