A new creative team

The series is directed by Kenji Kamiyama, best known for Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex and The Lord of the Rings: The War of the Rohirrim, as confirmed by Anime News Network and Bandai Namco Filmworks' own announcement. Studio SOLA ANIMATION is handling the animation. Multiple outlets report that the Gundam mecha designs come from Eiichi Shimizu, the manga artist behind ULTRAMAN.
