What was announced

Warner Bros. Japan has confirmed that Record of Ragnarok is getting a fourth season. The reveal landed on June 26, 2026 under the title Record of Ragnarok IV, according to Anime News Network, and arrived with a special production announcement video, a new Season 4 logo, and a commemorative illustration drawn by series artist Azychika.

The announcement also carried written comments from all three creators behind the manga: illustrator Azychika, story writer Shinya Umemura, and story structure writer Takumi Fukui, as posted on the official Record of Ragnarok site.

What Season 4 will cover

In his comment, Umemura confirmed that the new season will adapt the tournament's 10th and 11th battles. He framed the two bouts as a study in contrast, ranging from a straightforward sword fighting match to a more strategic showdown, the kind of pairing the official site pitches as a showcase for what animation can bring to the fights.

No animation studio was named in the announcement. The production is credited to the Ragnarok III Project committee, alongside publisher Coamix and Warner Bros. A release date or window has not been announced, so fans waiting on a premiere will need to watch the official channels for further updates.

Record of Ragnarok pits the gods against humanity's greatest champions in a run of one on one duels that decide whether the human race is allowed to survive.
