A new yuri anime arrives July 7

The TV anime I Want to Love You Till Your Dying Day, adapted from Aono Nachi's yuri manga, begins broadcasting and streaming on July 7, 2026, the official series account confirmed. In Japan it premieres on AT-X, TOKYO MX, WOWOW and other networks, and Crunchyroll has announced it will stream the series internationally.

What the series is about

The story is set at an academy that takes in orphaned girls and raises them as living weapons of war, where death is treated as routine. It follows Sheena Totsuki, a 14-year-old who wants nothing more than for the fighting around her to end. On the night she loses her roommate, Sheena meets a strange girl covered in blood who smiles through the turmoil. The next day that girl, Mimi Kagari, turns up as a new student and is soon whispered to be the academy's secret weapon, an immortal who cannot die. Cast and staff

The series is produced by studio Roll2. According to Crunchyroll and Anime News Network, Rie Takahashi voices Sheena Totsuki and Rina Hidaka voices Mimi Kagari, with Asami Seto as Lizzy Seiran and Yui Ishikawa as Ali Maud. Ai Kayano joins as the class teacher Omi, a casting the official account also highlighted.

Behind the camera, Yasushi Tomoda directs the series after Takudai Kakuchi, originally announced as director, shifted to a creative advisor credit in early 2026. Jukki Hanada handles series composition, Kyoko Yufu designs the characters, and Yukari Hashimoto and Michiru compose the music.

The theme songs

ReoNa performs the opening theme, "Amore," which is set for release on July 22. The duo sajou no hana provides the ending theme, "Eternel."

From Comic Yuri Hime to the screen

Aono Nachi launched the manga in Ichijinsha's Comic Yuri Hime in 2018 before it moved to online serialization, and the July broadcast marks its first television anime. Ahead of the premiere, the production is holding a US premiere at Anime Expo 2026, with a screening of the first episode and a talk session on July 2 at the Los Angeles Convention Center, according to the official account. The full run then begins July 7.
