Eleceed Anime Reveals First Main Trailer and Voice Cast, Sets Early 2027 Debut

What was announced

The official account for the Eleceed television anime released the series' first main promotional video on July 2 and unveiled its principal voice cast, confirming that the show will begin airing in early 2027. It is the first full look at the long-awaited adaptation of the action webtoon written by Jeho Son and illustrated by ZHENA, which runs on NAVER Webtoon. Anime News Network and Anime Corner both reported the reveal, noting that the project was originally slated for a 2026 debut before settling on the new early 2027 window.

The cast

Junya Enoki leads the cast as the kindhearted protagonist, a quiet high schooler who avoids getting involved with others while hiding remarkable power. One detail longtime readers will notice: the promo localizes the webtoon's Korean character names into Japanese, so the hero Jiwoo Seo is billed as Yu Kazahaya.

The rest of the announced cast follows the same pattern. Tasuku Hatanaka voices the mysterious transfer student Wooin (listed as Jin Tatsuoka), Setsuji Sato plays the research-obsessed Dr. Delein, and Hayato Dojima voices the cocky delinquent Jisuk Yoo (Sota Yanagi). Shizuka Ito rounds out the group as Jiyoung Yoo (Amane Yanagi), the young leader of a major organization of Awakened called Mythos. One key role is still under wraps: the cast chart lists Kayden, the immensely powerful Awakened at the center of the story, with his voice actor left unannounced for now.

The staff

Behind the camera, Hiroshi Nishikiori directs the series at DandeLion Animation Studio. Yosuke Kuroda is credited with series scripts, Minami Sakura handles character design, and Taku Iwasaki composes the music, according to Anime News Network. What Eleceed is about

Eleceed follows Jiwoo, a good-natured young man with hidden abilities, and Kayden, an extraordinarily strong Awakened who is stuck in the body of a stray cat after being badly wounded. After Jiwoo takes the cat in, the two form an unlikely partnership and are pulled into a world of secret Awakened factions and escalating fights. The new promo leans into that hook, framing the series around a cat that guides its owner toward becoming the strongest.
