BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia Films Return to Japanese Theaters for One Day on August 5

What was announced

The two BanG Dream! Episode of Roselia films are heading back to Japanese theaters for a single day. The official BanG Dream! site published the plan on July 29, and studio SANZIGEN shared it from its official account: on Wednesday, August 5, 2026, both films screen again in a limited revival run staged to mark the news that the film BanG Dream! Ave Mujica prima aurora has been confirmed for a theatrical release.

The official notice is precise about the format, and it is worth reading before booking. The two films are not being paired as a double feature. Episode of Roselia I: Yakusoku screens first, followed by Episode of Roselia II: Song I Am., each sold as its own separate screening. Tickets are a flat 1,800 yen per film, and the site notes that discounts, advance tickets, and Muvita cards are excluded. There are no entry gifts either, so this is a straightforward chance to see both films on a big screen rather than a bonus driven event.

Fifteen theaters are taking part, and the list is spread across the country rather than concentrated in Tokyo. It runs from T-Joy PRINCE Shinagawa, Shinjuku Wald 9, and Yokohama Burg 13 in the Kanto area, through T-Joy Umeda and T-Joy Kyoto in Kansai, out to Hiroshima Wald 11, T-Joy Izumo, T-Joy Hakata, T-Joy Riverwalk Kitakyushu, T-Joy Park Place Oita, and Kagoshima Mitte 10.

The two films coming back

Both entries are five years old at this point. Episode of Roselia I: Yakusoku opened on April 23, 2021, and follows Yukina Minato pulling together a band from members with very different motivations, carrying them from formation to their bid for the Future World Fes stage. Episode of Roselia II: Song I Am. arrived on June 25, 2021, picking up after the group has cleared those early hurdles and promised each other they would appear at FUTURE WORLD FES, with Lisa growing through the writing of the lyrics to "Promise" and Yukina and Sayo setting down their own resolve.
