My Hero Academia Debuts JUMP MV Pairing Final Season Theme Songs With Manga Art

My Hero Academia has unveiled a pair of music videos that pair the Final Season's two theme songs with original manga artwork by series creator Kohei Horikoshi. The official anime account announced the collaboration on July 14, and both videos premiere on July 15 at 6:00 p.m. JST on Shueisha's Jump channel on YouTube as part of its JUMP MV series.

The two tracks featured are THE REVO by Porno Graffitti and I by BUMP OF CHICKEN. According to Anime News Network, THE REVO serves as the Final Season's opening theme, while I is its ending theme. Rather than cutting together anime footage, each video is built around Horikoshi's own panels and illustrations, tying the songs directly back to the source manga. Both arrive as timed YouTube premieres, so fans can watch each video go live at the same moment on the Jump channel.

A 10th anniversary tie-in

The videos are billed as part of the anime's 10th anniversary celebration. The My Hero Academia television series first premiered in 2016 and follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy born without a Quirk who inherits the world's greatest power and enrolls at U.A. High School to train as a hero. Over 13 episodes in its first season and seven more seasons since, the series grew into one of the defining shonen adaptations of the past decade. Setting the final season's songs to the manga art draws a line between where the story ends on screen and the drawings that built it.

For Porno Graffitti, the tie-in carries some history. Anime News Network notes the band also performed The Day, the opening theme of the very first season, making its return for the finale a full-circle moment. BUMP OF CHICKEN, meanwhile, closes out the series with I.

Background

The Final Season is the eighth entry in the television anime and adapts the closing chapters of Horikoshi's manga. Anime News Network reports that it was produced by Bones Film and aired from October to December 2025, bringing the long-running hero saga to a close.
