Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life Drops a Second Trailer and Adds Maaya Uchida
Pony Canyon's July 12 reincarnation romcom revealed a new PV, theme songs by Masayoshi Oishi and Maaya Uchida, and Uchida joining the cast.

What was announced
The summer romcom Hanaori-san Still Wants to Fight in the Next Life has a second trailer. On June 24, Pony Canyon released the new PV and confirmed that voice actress Maaya Uchida is joining the cast. The studio also revealed the show's theme songs: Masayoshi Oishi performs the opening, while Uchida performs the ending. The trailer leans into the series' blend of comedy, romance, and action, and previews both theme songs.
What we know
The series is set to premiere on July 12, 2026. According to Anime News Network and Crunchyroll, it is produced by Liden Films and directed by Hideyo Yamamoto, with series composition by Yukie Sugawara, character designs by Yousuke Okuda, and music by Yukari Hashimoto and R.O.N. It will air on the Animazing!!! programming block on ABC Television, TV Asahi, and their affiliates, with Crunchyroll streaming the series internationally. Uchida voices a character named Meru Tsumugina, joining a cast led by Jun Fukuyama as Ryusei Narukami and Akira Sekine as Meteor Hanaori.
Background
The premise gives the reincarnation genre a combative twist. Narukami is a shut-in gamer who, in a past life, was a demon lord. Hanaori is the high school girl who shows up at his apartment, revealed to be the reincarnation of the hero who once defeated him, and she is eager for a rematch. That old rivalry becomes the engine for a present-day comedy. The anime adapts Hekiru Hikawa's manga, which has run in Kodansha's Monthly Morning Two since 2021 and spans nine volumes as of early 2026, according to Anime News Network. With the cast filled out, the theme songs chosen, and a second trailer now public, the production is in its final stretch ahead of the July premiere.
