Tougen Anki: Nikko Kegon Falls Arc Sets October 2026 Premiere With New PV
The official Tougen Anki anime account released a commemorative PV and confirmed the continuation will air on Nippon TV's Friday Anime Night block.
What was announced
The Tougen Anki anime is continuing. On July 12, the series' official account confirmed that the next chapter, the Nikko Kegon Falls Arc, will premiere in October 2026 in Nippon TV's Friday Anime Night ("Fura-Ani") programming block, and it marked the occasion with a newly released promotional video. The post notes that the currently airing Kyoto and Nerima arcs remain available to stream across various platforms, and it asks fans to watch for further updates.
The October 2026 window is not brand new. Per reporting from Oricon and other outlets, the continuation and its broadcast slot were first revealed on March 29 during a stage event at AnimeJapan 2026. The July 12 PV is the official commemoration of that decision, and the first moving look at the new arc from the show's own account.
The staff coming back
According to coverage of the AnimeJapan reveal, the core team returns for the new arc. Studio Hibari is again handling the animation, with Ato Nonaka directing and Hiroyuki Hashimoto as assistant director. Yukie Sugawara stays on series composition, Ryoko Amisaki continues as character designer, and Kohta Yamamoto returns to score the series. Keeping that lineup intact points to a continuation built to match the tone of the first run rather than a reboot.
New cast for the new arc
Outlets covering the AnimeJapan presentation also reported new additions to the voice cast. Nobuhiko Okamoto joins as Hagure Nekosaki, Kent Ito voices Yu Innami, and Gakuto Kajiwara takes the role of Hayate Todoroki, who is described in that reporting as a general of the Oni Brigade. The returning leads, including Kazuki Ura as protagonist Shiki Ichinose, anchor the cast heading into the new arc.
