Crunchyroll confirms the streaming home
Crunchyroll has confirmed that it will stream the upcoming Gacha Girls Corps television anime, which is scheduled to premiere in January 2027. The streaming platform announced the pickup during its showcase panel at Anime Expo 2026 and released a new trailer for the isekai comedy alongside the reveal.
The Anime Expo panel positioned Gacha Girls Corps as one of several new titles Crunchyroll will carry in 2027. For fans outside Japan, the announcement answers the most practical question about the series, which is where they will be able to watch it when it debuts.
What we already knew
The January 2027 broadcast window was not new to the Anime Expo panel. According to Crunchyroll News and Anime News Network, the premiere window, main cast, and production staff were first revealed on June 25, 2026.
Those reports credit Zero-G and Saber Works as the studios behind the adaptation, with Takashi Asami directing and Masahiro Takata serving as chief director. Deko Akao is handling series composition, Miori Suzuki is designing the characters, and Hiroaki Tsutsumi and George King are composing the music. The announced cast includes Daisuke Sakaguchi as Heihachi, Miyu Tomita as Norl, and Iori Noguchi as Estel.
About the series
Gacha Girls Corps is based on the light novel series written by Chinkururi and illustrated by Yasutaka Isekawa. Per Anime News Network and the series' Wikipedia entry, it began as a web novel on the Shosetsuka ni Naro website in January 2016 before Micro Magazine published it in print under its GC Novels imprint. A manga adaptation illustrated by Syuu Haruno has been running in Micro Magazine's Comic Ride online magazine since 2018.
The story follows Heihachi Okura, a man who is addicted to gacha games and a devoted fan of the mobile title Girls Corps. When an in-game item pulls him into another world, he survives an encounter with monsters by doing the one thing he knows best, which is rolling gacha. To his surprise, the units he is used to seeing on his phone begin to materialize in front of him as real allies.
What comes next
Crunchyroll has not narrowed the release beyond the January 2027 window, so a specific premiere date has not been announced. With the streaming platform and a fresh trailer now confirmed, the next details to watch for are an exact date and additional cast reveals ahead of the winter debut.
