Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 Reveals Its Main Voice Cast for a Fall 2026 Return
Koki Uchiyama, Akari Kito, Momoka Terasawa and Kentaro Tone lead the principal cast as Studio Trigger builds out a new crew in Night City.

What was announced
The main voice cast for Cyberpunk: Edgerunners 2 has been revealed, naming the performers behind the sequel's new crew. According to reporting from Anime Corner and What's on Netflix, the principal Japanese cast is led by Koki Uchiyama as D, Akari Kito as Talia Yang, Momoka Terasawa as Roman Carax, and Kentaro Tone as Weak Kingsley. The casting lands as Studio Trigger continues to build out the standalone sequel for its stated Fall 2026 window.
The reveal follows the project's recent Fall 2026 release window and the first looks at its characters, and it fills in one of the biggest remaining blanks: who is voicing the people at the center of this new story.
The new crew of Night City
Unlike the original series, which followed David Martinez, the sequel introduces an entirely new set of characters. Roman Carax, voiced by Momoka Terasawa, is described as a young cinephile who documents Night City's legends with an old camcorder, drawn to its violence and atmosphere. Talia Yang, voiced by Akari Kito, is a former corpo who left the towers for life on the streets. D, voiced by Koki Uchiyama, is a netrunner, and Weak Kingsley, voiced by Kentaro Tone, rounds out the group as a veteran edgerunner. The lineup frames the season as a fresh entry point rather than a direct continuation of the first show.
An English dub takes shape
The official @edgerunners account is rolling out its English dub casting one character at a time. In its latest spotlight, the account confirmed that Roman Carax is voiced in English by Valeria Rodriguez, pairing the announcement with new official character art. More dub roles are expected to surface in the same drip of character cards in the days ahead.
Background
The original Cyberpunk: Edgerunners premiered in September 2022 and ran for ten episodes, becoming one of Netflix's most acclaimed anime and the reason a follow-up has been so closely watched. Coverage of the sequel credits Studio Trigger with returning to animate the new run, again working from the world of the Cyberpunk 2077 game. Outlets report the season is planned as a standalone ten-episode story.
