Yostar Pictures drops a new Arknights PV
Yostar Pictures has released a new animated Arknights promotional video titled "Jisaikou" (辞歳行), the studio confirmed in a July 10 post. The short debuted on YouTube, and the studio pointed fans to a full staff and credits breakdown on its official works page.
According to Yostar Pictures, the PV is narrated by voice actor Nobutoshi Kanna, credited as the character Wa. The reveal lands as Arknights celebrates its 6.5-year anniversary, a milestone the game's teams have been marking with livestreams and promotional events this week.
Who made it
Yostar Pictures is the animation house behind Arknights' anime output, including the television series Arknights: Prelude to Dawn, which debuted in October 2022 and adapted the game's early arc following the pharmaceutical group Rhodes Island and the militant Reunion movement. The studio has since extended that run across multiple seasons. The new PV continues the relationship, but it stands apart from the TV anime as a self-contained promotional short rather than a new episode or season.
Background
Arknights is a tactical game set on the disaster-stricken world of Terra, where Rhodes Island, led by Amiya and an amnesiac Doctor, contends with the fallout of a mineral called Originium that both advances technology and sickens those exposed to it. Yostar Pictures has repeatedly used short-form animated PVs to expand that world beyond the game, and anniversary videos in particular have become a recurring showcase for the studio's animation.
The studio framed the release as a promotional piece tied to the anniversary. No broadcast or streaming plans beyond the YouTube upload were announced, and no wider series tied to the short was revealed.
